Welcome to part 2 of our favorite engagement driving strategies to help you grow your social media presence! Driving engagement is a MUST for your business and service you provide.
In part 1, I talked about how calls to action are incredible for increasing your engagement. We are now going to dive into the second strategy which is responding to all comments and DM’s.
Let’s say you made a post on Instagram and receive 10 comments. You used a call to action in your caption, so you are encouraging your followers to engage with your post. Responding to those comments are important for the following reasons:
Boosting your overall business (and even sales)
People who are following your account are most likely interested in what you sell or the service you provide. Those followers could be potential new customers!
Increase your overall presence
Your active followers should be important to you! Showing that you see comments and acknowledge what they are saying will want them coming back to your page!
Building your reputation
Your reputation on social media is important to your business. People may find you for the first time via social media. Build the reputation about you and your business to help build loyal followers and eventually customers.
Responding to comments are a great way to get on a personal level with your followers. Not too personal, but showing that your focus is on them.
Now let’s take a dive into the DM’s. As someone who manages multiple Instagram accounts, I know how tough it is sometimes to keep up with DM’s.
Just like comments, responding to DM’s are also crucial for driving your engagement rate on Instagram for the same exact reasons! Earlier I stated that responding to comments allows you to be personal to your followers. If you want to be MORE personal with your followers, communicating and responding to DM’s is the way to go.
To sum it all up, responding to your followers is incredibly important if your goal is to increase your engagement. Set aside time during the week to respond to all of those comments and DM’s that might be potential customers!
