Let’s face it. You wake up every morning with your mind racing about everything you need to get done. Your inbox is overflowing, your house is a mess, your kids and your family are driving you crazy.
Does that sound like you? Yeah. Me too.
But this is me yelling at you to SLOWWW DOWWNNN!!!
Starting your day on a slower note can leave you feeling more awake and energized throughout the day.
Here is my morning routine for when I need to slow down and start my day off right.
The first thing I do when I wake up is briefly check my phone and social media. The key word here is briefly. You have all day to check social media. I promise you nothing is that urgent to scroll on social media for an hour the moment you wake up. Instead, I head downstairs to make myself a cup of coffee and breakfast to fuel my body for the day.
Skincare is a must, especially for hydrating my skin during these cold, winter months. My go-to’s recently have been the Tatcha deep cleanser and water cream moisturizer. If you need a routine for moisturizing your skin, give this combo a go!
Then I brush my teeth, put on my favorite gym outfit, mix up some watermelon Liquid IV, and head to the gym to get my body moving.
If you need a sign to slow down your mornings, here it is. And yeah, not every morning is going to be slow, but when you have the time, do it.
