Loving your body is the most important kind of love. Yet most of us forget that.
Growing up, I’ve always been an active girl as a cheerleader and dancer. And when those days came to an end, I had to figure out ways to stay in shape and continue to love my body.
This is when I fell in love with lifting weights.
I was scared to start because I didn’t want to look bulky. I quickly proved myself wrong and love my body more than ever before.

My body has changed so much this past year, but I mentally feel so much better about myself and love my body. And I am so proud of that. There is absolutely nothing wrong with lifting weights or doing whatever you can to better yourself and improve that body self-love.
Not into lifting weights? There are so many other options out there including things like:
- Walking
- Yoga
- Cycling
- Running
Do you want to learn how to start loving your body? Here are some of my tips for you:
- DO NOT COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHERS – This 100% goes social media content. How many times do you scroll down Instagram or TikTok and think “wow I wish I had her body”. I encourage you to stoopppp. You are self sabotaging yourself. Realize that every single body on this earth is different and unique in their own ways. You only get one body your whole lifetime. Love the shit out of it.
2. GET ACTIVE – This might be the hardest one, especially for me. But this is when I started to love my body more. Every week I felt improvement and looked in the mirror and thought “damn girl you are killing it”.
3. FOCUS ON YOUR OVERALL HEALTH RATHER THAN APPEARANCE – It’s not always about the way you look. It’s about the way you feel. Do what you need to do to love your body mentally, not physically.
4. DO IT FOR YOU – If you want to make changes to increase that body self-love, it’s important to do it for one person and one person only. YOU.
