For some of us working home was a way of life pre-pandemic. Maybe you realized during the pandemic that working from home is IT for you. Maybe you’re just still stuck at home. However you landed with a desk and computer in your house, I have 3 tips to stay productive working from home.
Fun fact: I was homeschooled and cyberschooled, so knowing how to stay efficient, and self motivating are kind of my thing.
1. Have a dedicated space.
Obviously this has been a struggle for me since moving into our apartment while our home is being built, but even in a two bedroom I managed to carve out a corner of our bedroom for my “office”. Put some effort into it by decorating, adding plants, and keeping it clean and organized.
It isn’t about your space being cutesy and “instagramable”, it has more to do with tricking your brain into staying focused on whatever task is at hand.
2. Create to-do lists, and stick to them.
Whether you’re a pen to paper kind of person, digital planner, or task manager app user, MAKE LISTS. Actively take the time to cross things off of your list. Again, our goal is to trick our brains into staying focused, and every tiny win is just the ego boost we might need to get to 5pm.
3. Set the mood.

Create a Spotify playlist for every mood. Whether you need to lower your anxiety, get amped up, or really focus, create playlists for it all. We love our Beyond Boss Playlist!
