We spend our days picking up our phones and scrolling. We are constantly connected to each other via apps and texts and emails. We can see what our friends and family are doing throughout the day, and it can give us a false sense of connection, leaving us feeling lost and confused without knowing it. The power of connection with real humans, face to face, is major.
The other day we hosted our first Insiders Happy Hour since the world started to re-open, and the vibe and the conversation was magic. I had been in contact with all of these women for a year, but I had not gotten to sit at a table and laugh with them. I looked around and realized that for the first time in my life, I have this magical group of girlfriends that genuinely just wants to hang. Not for any reason other than to feel the vibe. To give each other a hug, to talk about our joys and struggles, to give advice, to just exist.
There is massive power in connecting with like minded women with no agenda or commitment other than enjoying that moment together. It is magical.
I have no point in writing this post other than to put more good vibes out there. There is so much hostility, obligation, and exhaustion to be had in the world. Find yourself a group of friends that you show up for just because you want to. Just to exist. Just to be present in a moment.
