If you are like me you are easily influenced by your favorite influencers, and Kelsey is no exception. I started following her years ago, long before we met, and I was always purchasing via her links to affordable, adorable, size inclusive fashion. Why? Because seeing her look amazing and confident without being the “typical size 00 blogger” was like the breath of fresh air that we all needed. Body and self love isn’t always the norm on Instagram, but Kelsey makes it look effortless. On this episode we are dissecting why it isn’t a destination, but a journey that we should all be on!
Kelsey is a Beyond Boss supporter (Insiders, you can check out her Influencer Marketing class in your portal!) and friend (and we share a hair stylist, shout out to Jamie Newhouse!). I LOVED having this conversation with her, our longest episode yet!
MEET KELSEY
Kelsey started blogging in 2017 on the side while working full time for a digital marketing agency. After spending a few years struggling with comparison and body confidence, she found her niche sharing mid-size fashion, body love, and real life. Today she has over 160k Instagram followers and works full time as a content creator. Her goal is to help women feel confident and stylish in the skin they are in.
Kelsey currently lives in Pittsburgh with her fiance Jamie and their puppy Blu, the mini golden doodle.
ON THIS EPISODE – INFLUENCING SELF LOVE
We are talking all things body love, confidence, dealing with trolls, how to become a successful blogger, how small businesses can work with influencers and more.
My favorite part of this convo was talking about how self and body love is not a destination, it is a journey that is always evolving. A majority of us are learning to love our bodies in front of the mirror, but Kelsey makes the brave choice daily to share her journey with over one hundred thousand people. She opens herself up to trolls and critics in hopes that her journey and the heart behind it will inspire even one woman to love the skin that they are in just a little more.
On this episode Kelsey discusses how difficult it can be to maintain personal relationships when your life is lived out on social media, her plans for the future, and what she thinks is the best way to approach influencers as a small business.
The bottom line: being true to and loving yourself is the best way to manifest success. How you measure success is personal, but it always starts with showing up for the journey!
