THE DISCONNECT FOR EMPLOYEES
So many women go through our careers, like we are lost and on an island alone. They are plugging away, alone on an island (or in their cubicle or office), and they do not see a future beyond where they are right now.
We grow up with a belief system that is outdated, regardless of what our childhood looked like, that you do work, you come home, you make dinner, and you do it all over again.
Entrepreneurs often have business coaches, but women working full time jobs too often do not have anyone in their lives asking them how they want to FEEL in their lives. There is not enough focus on the mindset of growing a big, amazing career without sacrificing having a big, amazing LIFE.
If you are working under a manager that has not done their own mindset work, they are not going to be able to help you guide your career in a way to have freedom.

WHY DON’T WE TRUST OURSELVES?
Confidence in yourself can result in monumental success. Women have never been more empowered, and encouraged to step into our power. “At the same time, we are still human beings”. The old mindset tells us that when things do not go right, “YOU FAILED. YOU SUCK”.
You have to create confidence on purpose. You have to understand where your limiting thoughts are. These thoughts leave us feeling sad and defeated.
Most of us know exactly what we need to do to get the results we want. BUT, sometimes taking a moment to realize that NO ONE knows what they are doing, and verbalizing that you are, in fact, very good at your job and what you do.
As women, we need to learn to detach ourselves from the idea of being perfect. We have to unhook ourselves from the idea that we can do it all. We have to learn to delegate and let go of control, and when we are doing that, we are also giving others more opportunities to advance.
HOW STRESS EFFECTS OUR CAREERS AND WHY
You cannot just leave your work stress at the door. There is no true “leave it at the office” for stress and anxiety. These vibrations and energy live in our bodies, creating toxic amounts of stress that need to be released. We think that when we get busy at work we will magically get through it if we just buckle down and work harder. Then we punish ourselves and Maria says that this comes from the core belief that we are not enough.

This vicious cycle of getting exhausted and riddled by stress and anxiety leads us to lower productivity.
USING YOGA TO LEVEL UP
We can use movement and yoga to move from the sympathetic nervous system (fight or flight) to a parasympathetic nervous system (restored sense of calm). This is incredibly important when managing stress at work.
Taking a walk, stretching, or practicing yoga can help us become more aligned, enjoy our lives more, and become more productive.
